Didn’t find it. It wasn’t for a lack of effort. We waited out the muggles who were at GZ. Once the Delaware passed they moved on and we began our search. I didn’t come up with anything.

Then I broke out the hint. That moved me away a little from where I was looking. I am sure I just missed it, but we searched rather thoroughly and came up with nothing. While this isn’t the dune, I felt very conspicuous searching where I was with the number of people passing. It was good to have my one-year-old there digging with me.

I am pretty certain I was at the spot the hint indicated. It seems unlikely it would be buried too deep after a few days. I don’t know what to think, but we’ll wait until someone else finds it b4 trekking back down here.

I have been coming here for decades. Used to be a place Dad and I would come and watch the ferries. Then it was a party place. Now I’m back with my son. Circle of life, or something to that effect I suppose.

Ah, a trip down memory lane. I’ve been playing with Google Street View and was able to come up with a few of the residences that way. One thing I noticed is that I lived in only one dorm at prep school and only one dorm at college and both created quads.

The ol’ homestead has changed since I lived there. It looks odd raised the eight feet it has been. We lived much closer to the ground, which allowed the Atlantic Ocean to visit us five times. The joys of living at the beach. (more…)

I have fond memories of these photo booths. I grew up at the beach and there were two of these on our little boardwalk and the big ones were overrun with them.

My wife and I have been going to the Ocean City boardwalk since we met each other. It is a ritual for us to get our photos done. For some reason she wanted nothing to do with this today and chased our children about as I waited forever for the pictures to develop.

Even at my advanced age, this is fun to do!

My wife loves Tilt-A-Whirls! Me? Not so much. Spinning is not a motion I crave. But now that Beetle is big enough, Mommy has someone to ride with.

This is an authentic Tilt-A-Whirl at Wonderland on the north end of the Ocean City, NJ boardwalk. We like this area and spent a good deal of time here today (Fritz rode his first carousel!).

Our stroll down the promenade brought us to this miniature golf course. Beetle is still a bit young for a game, but we enjoyed looking at the course. She and I both were enamored with the big fishy. Yes, sharks are fish. This ferocious one is at the 18th hole. Watch out!
