This is the log I submitted for The Wild Tigheberries’ The Gus Memorial Geocache geocache, which I found 27 June 2002.

I wanted to take my car down that path, but there was a ditch filled with water. After my experience earlier, I decided not to try it. I took the next path which seemed to be dead on with the coordinates.
They weren’t. I bushwhacked across two trails. Easy to find at that point.
Took the Post-It notes, left a keychain.

I am happy I do not read these descriptions too carefully b4 I head out.
Tneigel, just so you know, small cars can make this, but I was hesitant the entire way. I kept telling myself I would not break down. Positive thinking.
The park near the gate threw me off. It was a while b4 I knew what that meant.
Found the cache easily once I got out of the car. That is one beautiful spot. The scout did a nice job with the bridge.
Took a pocket knife, left a law enforcement pin.

This was our first experience with geocaching!
Silly us, we parked on the wrong side, but with the drought, it did not prove to be a big deal.
We got there and explored. It wasn’t too hard to find. Gert found it. She wanted all to know that!
We decided that we should camp down there, so I am certain we will come spring.
We left a puzzle keychain and a Where’s George bill. We took the 10 Kroner. We hope to leave that somewhere down the line.
The cache was in good condition.
Thank you for the wonderful experience. Geocaching has two new fanatics!
