This find is a couple years in the making. It was easy to research Frank Lloyd Wright and find that he designed a house here in South Jersey. It is named the J. A. Sweeton House. I was able to find out it was in Cherry Hill. I saw plenty of photographs of it. But it was difficult to find out the location of the house. I eventually found a book at the library that was helpful.

Then came time to find the house. Ken and I were out and about and kept scratching our heads. We were near, but never could seem to find it. We questioned the address and bagged it once or twice.

But we looked into this further and decided it was where we were looking, but just concealed really well.

We hooked up again today for the Blitzkrieg and sought to find this. Sure enough it is right where we had been three years ago. The house is hidden behind a business. I saw just enough through the trees to say, “Let’s go!”

Frankly (no pun intended), this house does not impress me at all. Granted, I am no architect, but it didn’t do anything for me. It also appears to be rundown some. I also would not want to live in the back of a business’ parking lot.

Here is a site that shows some of the inside of the house. Apparently the house was just purchased in March by a new family. This is definitely a private residence.

It was nice to clear this one. Thanks for the challenge.

I’ve been a fan of these art projects for a number of years. I created a shutterspot using a cow in Kansas City a few years ago. I took a photograph of a dinosaur in Rehoboth, DE a couple months ago for this hunt, but I never logged it. So goes my organization of images.

Anyhow, Ken and I were on the Blitzkrieg today as we moved through Camden and Burlington counties when we came to this in downtown Moorestown.

Nipper is the mascot of RCA, which was huge in this area for a long time. Moorestown held an auction in 2005 for 30 Nipper statues that had been decorated by artists.

This Nipper is titled His Master’s Reflection, a play on His Master’s Voice, the original painting depicting Nipper. It sits in a public square in the middle of town. There is another Nipper across the street.

This is an interesting hunt. I checked online to make certain the local public library had a book on Rubens. It did not, but the next town over did. Out and about today I stopped in to drop off a couple books and to look up the books.

The hunt for the book was among the most difficult geocaches I’ve done. One book was nowhere to be found and neither was the second. I went to the librarian for help. She was equally perplexed. No one knows where the first book is. The second book may have been in the oversized book area, but a quick look unearthed nothing. She went back and checked her files. It seems there is a note attached that this book is not cataloged as the card catalog states it is, but with another number altogether. With that bit of knowledge we found The World of Rubens.

I was surprised at how busy the library was for a Friday afternoon. There really was no place to sit and look at the book and still have a bit of privacy. Somehow I don’t think taking a photograph of the book would have gone over well and since it was a reference book, I could not check it out.

So I darted to the darkest corners of the library, found a somewhat empty shelf and took the requisite photographs. I was still pretty much in the open so I pocketed the camera and GPS. It was then that I spotted a painting I liked.

Rubens painted the death of Christ. I have been looking for it online and cannot find it. The fatal blow delivered was depicted. It was a harrowing painting; one that showed the frenzy of the moment.

I should have taken the electronics back out and snapped a few shots, but I did not.

Overall I am not a particular fan of Rubens. But I did see a few things that looked interesting.

This is one of those things that when you think about it is amazing. Not that it would take much, but this is far better than I could produce.
