Sesame Place is a great place for topiary animals! Personally, I liked the Twiddlebugs, but we also had Elmo, Big Bird, and others.

I suspect these are wired but am not certain. They were well-maintained, as one may imagine.

I was going to wait until we went to Cape May to log a gaslight, but I saw this lamppost at Sesame Place today that I thought was kind of neat. The GPS was already in my hand, so why not?

We went to Sesame Place fun some fun in the sun. While there we saw plenty of costumed people. Of course, that satisfied my Cinderella Goes Shopping scavenger hunt. I logged a Note on that to fulfill the requirements of this hunt.

Thanks.

Our visit to Sesame Place was a lot of fun.  It was also replete with costumed people.  I like Oscar; he was my favorite when I was a boy.  I also like Grover and Cookie Monster.  Long after Sesame Street was regular viewing for me, new characters were added.  Beetle used to be fond of Elmo.  Today she was all excited to see Zoe and even had her photograph taken with her.

Wearing a full costume on a hot day in August is hard work.  I hope these folks make good money, but I suspect not.

I Love a Parade

The Rock Around the Block parade occurs twice daily at Sesame Place in Langhorne, PA, once at 2:00 and again at 7:00. If you make a day of it, you can catch both!

Sesame Place is a theme park for young children. We took Beetle and Fritz there today for a day of fun and fun we had! Lots of water activities kept us wet on a hot day. We also rode many rides, climbed rope ladders, ate, ran, and had a blast! The crew was tubing when the first parade took place so we took in the evening performance. Fritz was amazed with the spectacle!

Zoe was a good friend today as Beetle had her photograph taken with her earlier in the day. The dancers were festive and the floats rocked and rolled to entertain the crowd. The crowd pleasers, however, were the characters. All made an appearance save Oscar. :( Nevertheless, Grover, Big Bird, Bert and Ernie, the Count, Elmo, etc. made their way up and down Sesame Street dancing, slapping hands, and putting big smiles on everyone.

Interestingly, as I look at these coordinates, I notice this is actually east of me. I would have never guessed that. Odd, but true.
