Finally.

I remember when this scavenger hunt was posted three and a half years ago. I immediately thought of a guy I know who has such a plate. I even called him to make an arrangement once, but the plans fell through. But he lives over an hour away and I don’t get to his area very often, and well, that’s just how it goes.

So this morning the family and I are idling burning up dollars of gasoline in the green machine that sucks down the Middle Eastern beverage when I look at the plate of the guy in front of me. I begin trying to piece together what K2MFW means. I’ll admit it: I can be lewd in some private moments. I begin stringing together all sorts of words to make sense of this when I spot at the bottom of the plate Amateur Radio.

All of a sudden I spring into action. I grab my GPS with one hand and the camera in the other and take a wild photograph. I go back for a second better shot as the light turns green when I see right beside me is one of Millville’s (New Jersey) finest. I think better of the situation given that I am moving and I am not certain I have my hands on the wheel since they are holding the electronics.

I mention to Gert that I hope he gets onto Rt. 55 with us. Sure enough he does. But there is some genuine dipsh*t who will not move over as I merge in and I am forced to basically stop before I can get onto the highway. The truck is moving away quickly. But after some time we catch up to him and I employ my lovely bride to zoom in on the plate. Success! That is why I love this woman.

I wouldn’t have had this hunt any differently. It was great fun. Thanks.
