The question for this hunt was Which one to log? In the recesses of my mind, I think I was going to log either Parvin State Park or the Boy Scout place in Millville. Neither of those happened. I was driving along this morning and saw this. Ah, easy enough to park here so I pulled over.
Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center is the hub of the arts in the area. Located at Wheaton Village, the area’s glass making industry is chronicled. We visit this landmark frequently and even have membership here. I have logged a few other scavenger hunts at Wheaton Village.
The general store is where I first encountered horehound candy. My students and I used to read Little House on the Prairie. Ma and Pa returned from town with one piece of horehound candy for each of the girls. I purchased this for my students to try. I am now a huge fan of it myself. I’ve been known to have a small bag in my desk compliments of my SIL.
