A Little Slice of Bevan

Ah, cleared a DNF.
I decided to poke around here instead of taking a drive for a cache. I figured I would end up being late if I ventured too far away. Rob had left a note on the cache page recently. I was unsure if he had checked on this or not, but figured to give it a shot. When I looked for this in September, light was running out, so I figured I may have missed something easy. I came back another time after that, but some guy with Florida tags parked on the trail blocking passage and I decided not to hoof it in with this hunter in the area.
As soon as I got to the area, which I have hiked several times before this cache was placed and once or twice since, the GPS began acting like it did on the previous attempt; it bounced about. I poked in a few places without success. I do not think I would have looked too long, but I did find the cache. I am pretty certain I had looked here before. I probably was not quite as thorough as I was today. I suspect the cache had not been re-visited as it seemed rather worn; the plastic bag was open and providing no protection.
I logged in, took some photographs, and headed out. It’s nice to clear DNFs.
