The Factor
It’s no secret that I am a Bill O’Reilly fan. I’ve been a viewer of The Factor for several years. What draws me to O’Reilly are two things: 1. he is fair to both sides of an issue and 2. he and I tend to agree on many issues.
For a while O’Reilly was king at 8:00 in our household all by himself. Then he started tinkering. I liked the addition of Michelle Malkin to his show. Malkin has often been cited here at eCache. She’s a bit more direct than most, and that is perfectly fine by me. She improved the show. But then she left. Like me, she expects more from folks. She felt let down during the Geraldo fiasco and has refused to do O’Reilly’s show any longer.
Interestingly, O’Reilly’s show has continued to add features. He now sports the insipid Pinheads & Patriots segment to go along with Miller Time, The Dhue Point, Body Language, and The Great American Culture Quiz. Say what you want, Bill, your show is slipping in quality. That it can still beat the heck out of Olbermann and CNN means nothing. At 8:00 these days, it is hit or miss whether or not I tune in. The must-watch hour no longer is.
Case in point, last night O’Reilly interviewed Alf. This is not what I value.
