Six Years

Another 17th of November, another cacheversary. Six years ago today I found my first geocache. As usual, I spent the day caching. It’s been so difficult waking up on the weekends to make the runs to New York that I keep planning. I always end up closer to home since the three o’clock hour does not agree with me right now.

At the end of the marathon, I stopped by the Cohanzick Zoo to see the reindeer. They didn’t do much as they were sacked out on the ground. Decided to do the whole zoo. The bear and white tiger were both very friendly today. Not many folks around.

After a full day of being in the woods without incident, after looking at a memorial in the park, I headed to the truck . . . through a big leaf pile. It’s fall and I like playing in leaves. Except this pile was covering quicksand. Okay, not really quicksand, but a huge mud puddle. My sneakers, which I had changed into, are ruined. Sigh . . .

Once home this evening, I saw that my new scavenger hunt (reg. req.) was published.
