Irony

Nobel Peace Prize winner, Betty Williams (1976), gave a speech in Dallas last evening. She stated:

Right now, I could kill George Bush.

She followed up the above with this qualification:

No, I don’t mean that. How could you nonviolently kill somebody? I would love to be able to do that.

It doesn’t quite excuse it, does it?
