Dangling Modifier

Here is a prime example of a dangling modifier:

I know this is an old thread but I just wanted to let everyone know that I have 2 caches made out of these containors and they are great!

The sentence reads that this cacher has placed two caches and he thinks they are great. Of course, that fits in quite well with the the boasting I have observed from geocachers. I suspect, however, that the author intended to attribute “they are great” to the containers, not the caches since the thread was about using Airborne containers for caches.

Perhaps a minor thing but indicative of poor writing nonetheless. In addition to the dangling modifier, there is a comma splice, a misspelled word, and the number two should be spelled with letters.

His thesis is missed because he did not proofread his post.
