Wedding Crashers

Needing a little relaxation after a tense afternoon (I was ticketed for failing to make a complete stop.  It was borderline and I was certainly not afforded the benefit of the doubt.), I was all for a mindless movie this evening.  Flipping through the channels I found the Wedding Crashers, a movie I had wanted to see.

It didn’t look promising initially as it seemed to cater to teenage boys with the topless shots and the drinking.   But once Owen Wilson became infatuated with Rachel McAdams things picked up enough to keep my interests.  Without question, the touch football game scene was the funniest thing I have seen in some time.

As always, I was impressed with Christopher Walken’s acting.  He played the Treasury Secretary and McAdams’ father.

Vince Vaughn logged another fun role in a series of movies that has him right there with Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson as an offbeat actor good for a laugh.

Surprisingly,Will Ferrell made a short appearance in an uncredited role as Chazz, the inspiration for crashing weddings to begin with.  He now crashes funerals because the women are “so horny”.  Farrell makes me laugh.

Wedding Crashers is a guy’s movie.  My wife said she had turned it off at the first sign of boobies.  But there was a cute, if not frivolous, movie afterwards that was kind of fun to laugh with.
