From the Parasite
I have detailed here previously how Renegade Knight considers me a parasite. This labeling comes from my lack of logging a geocache in the logbook and online most of the time. He has reiterated that claim many times, most recently just the other day:
Yup, I call those ghosts parasites. But only if they don’t log anywhere. The cache log is ok though I may never see it. There are always exceptions but the ones who can log, should, some way. Otherwise they are nothng more than parasites.
Part of my not logging the logbook came from finding out my logs were being physically removed. Of course, it is easier to label someone rather than understand his position.
The above post by RK came from a thread discussing removing the find count from GC.com. RK has been quite vocal in that thread. His zeal to continue to label and blast the parasites fails, however, when he proposed keeping those who would opt out of the numbers game (if there would be such an option) from being seeing his caches.

… I would gladly pony up the fee if there was a way NOT to display my finds numbers on either my profile page or my logs. After some of the things I’ve seen and heard, I’ve been tempted to stop logging finds, but I know that I appreciate people logging finds on my own caches,…As long as I can opt out of the non numbers folks being able to see my caches I’d say we have a win win proposal. My reason is quite simply the last sentance in your quoted post above.
Unfortunately for RK, his plan will not work as well as he states. Since parasites do not log in the logbook or online, they have no need to opt out of the numbers game; they have already opted out in their own way. Therefore, RK’s caches would still be visible to be seen and found.

People think I’m nuts for photographing my cache logs, but seeing as how your log was removed, maybe it’s not so crazy after all. Why would anyone remove your log page anyway? That would seem like a rude thing to do.

I used to videotape my finds. My very first find (although I do not claim to have found any) we taped. Unfortunately, that tape was lost a year ago.
Why would someone remove my logs? I never understood it. The one I link to asked a simple question, “Buried?” Others I suspect were done to keep me on edge. What folks never figured out is that I am just as happy not logging as I am to log. It was no issue to become a ghost.
Now they just tell me I do not count.
