Non-Academic Teaching
February 4th, 2007 | Posted in » Education, New Jersey
Dear reader, here is another example of where the public views it a school’s responsibility for non-academic teaching. While certainly there are non-academics that are part of the school day, it is important to see just how many there are. Do you really want to pay teacher salaries to police the parking lot and side streets? This, of course, comes out of perceived academic time.
Teenagers break a rule and it becomes the fault and responsibility of teachers to enforce a state law on provisional driver’s licenses. No one is quite sure if it is a primary or secondary law.
