Organizing

I am one who craves organization in my life. That’s kind of funny in some respects. Anyhow, the house has been a mess all week as we put in new baseboards and crown molding throughout the downstairs. Upstairs we dismantled Beetle’s nursery. All week the many Christmas trees were dark as they sat in the middle of all the rooms.

Today all is getting back to normal.

The trim work is completed. After sweeping and vacuuming, most of the downstairs is back to where it should be. I still need to attend to a few items in the dining room. I changed the doorbell and have two new smoke detectors. Beetle’s new bedroom furniture arrived today. Our little girl is no longer in a crib but a full sized bed. She loves it! She has not fussed one bit.

The trees are lighted. It’s a Wonderful Life is on the idiot box. The gifts have been purchased. The cards are in the mail. And Gert and I are pooped!
