Observation

Just an observation of something I am seeing more and more of these days: individual cachers are announcing their own accomplishments. Board after board I read seems to have threads started by a cacher announcing he has now found 100, 200, 500, 1000 or whatever number of caches.
There was a time when these threads were begun by others in the community.
I don’t know what it means, but it is a trend I am seeing. I liken it to one announcing he was first to find rather than letting his post in the logbook announce that for him.
