What A Louse

The bottom of the pit dropped today.

No, Pete Rose isn’t selling more baseballs that state he bet on the game. That too lowered the pit.

Rather, O.J. Simpson, disgraced running back, has written a book. The publisher, Judith Regan, states the book, If I Did It, is Simpson’s confession:

“This is an historic case, and I consider this his confession,” Regan told The Associated Press. She also refused to say what Simpson is being paid for the book but said he came to her with the idea.

Oh, please. If I have followed this correctly over the years, whatever Simpson may make for this book is going to go to the Goldman’s. Perhaps Simpson was able to have the money go directly to his children. That might explain it.

No matter the financial situation, a book like this one is nothing more than evidence that Simpson is not to be respected as a human being. How could a Christian write such a tale? Perhaps Simpson isn’t one . . .

I noticed an interesting incoming link that mentioned this post.

Daniel Rubin, a Philadelphia Inquirer reporter, pulled a quote from this post for his review of the blogosphere reaction to Simpson’s book and subsequent Fox interview.

eCache in South Jersey observes, “The bottom of the pit dropped today.”

    Thanks!

The AP has a report today, now that the book and interview have been cancelled, with the obligatory Simpson quotes that speak to taking care of his children financially with this project.

This was an opportunity for my kids to get their financial legacy

But later in the article, Simpson, while dodging how much of an advance he received said:

In two AP telephone interviews this week from his Florida home, Simpson declined to say how much of an advance he received for the book but said it was less than the $3.5 million that had been reported. He said the money has already been spent, including some he used to meet tax obligations.

Huh? If he did the project to provide money to his children, how did he pay off his tax obligations?

As if one needed further proof, this highlights how Simpson is.
