Give me Liberty!
My male bonding weekend began with me not in the best of moods. Nothing had gone to plan and I just kind of gave up even trying to make things work. Nevertheless, once I got moving, I chilled out. I had the last Dead show I had seen cranked as I cruised down I-95.
I made pretty good time and decided I would take the loop around Baltimore to see if I could pick this one up. As I did, I drove by cache after cache I had been hopeful of finding. Passing them was somewhat cathartic and soon enough I was all primed for this spot.
Long ago I had done some research. For some reason, long forgotten, I had pinpointed a location that I thought was correct. It seems I thought there was a trail there and in an area that might match the example photograph.
Traffic, which I did not expect in the area for I had envisioned an open area, was such that time was beginning to be a factor. I was to meet-up with my buddies and I didn’t have time to hunt. If my spot wasn’t right, this was going to be a wasted detour.
As I got close, I saw a road sign that made me think. I continued, checked out my spot and quickly realized I was mistaken. But the sign I had seen offered hope and I decided to check it out, despite knowing I was going to hit Baltimore’s rush hour.
It’s good that I did. I saw the gate and today it was open. Good thing. I was able to drive directly to the spot. It is quite a view. Good selection, Bob! I took my photographs, grabbed my coordinates, and high tailed it to the Inner Harbor via a ghetto.
Thanks for the fun. I love these.
