Planning
I don’t know whether it’s amusing or pathetic if one were to examine the planning for my outings.
I get so gung-ho on something and then plan these marathon outings. As the odyssey proved a couple weeks ago, they seldom come off as planned. That run to PA started out as a run to Long Island with a stop in Manhattan.
Right now I am planning my weekend for 3-5 November. It originally was going to be a big loop in PA b4 I headed south to Baltimore. I tried to pick off some of it with the odyssey. Seeing as I had planned way too much, this weekend was going to then be cleaning up the loop. But the more I play the more I am bypassing PA altogether to run to DC and then to Virginia. There’s a cache I want to pick up there. The DC run would allow me to pick up the terracache there as well as three shutterspots.
But as soon as I was comfortable with that plan, I realized I would never be able to pick up the Mason-Dixon marker I need if I do that run as there would be too much left to pick up heading back north on Sunday.
As I re-worked the plan perhaps by running directly to DC, passing on Virginia and then picking up all the Maryland stuff I want so I can pick up the Mason-Dixon marker (while staying out of Delaware to set up a cache and shutterspot I have planned), I realize there is an O-Event I could hit on the way home.
The gist of it is that I need to dump my job as there are not enough hours for me to play all these games.
