Non-Finder Ratings
One just has to love an opinion that is direct and to the point.
Non-finders opinions have no validity whatsoever.
Over the last few days I have drafted, but then deleted, a similar response as to what follows, to several folks who have said similar things. For me, it is easier to say it on my own soap box.
Consider this scenario . . .
I seek a terracache three hours from home. It is a multi. I find the first stage to have been destroyed to the point that I cannot continue the cache. I travel three hours home and report my experience.
The cache owner, who happens to be my sponsor, does not respond to me. Instead, he e-mails someone else the coordinates to the final stage.
Later, the cache owner states that he has rehabilitated the cache.
I dropped the cache owner as my sponsor.
Someone else seeks the cache and reports a similar experience as to mine. The cache owner provides no public feedback.
As I will be in the area again shortly, I e-mailed the cache owner to inquire whether the cache is available or not. The e-mail bounces. I then PMd him thinking perhaps he has a different address associated with the account. I have heard nothing.
Listening to those who bloviate about this topic, it is clear that I am not entitled to an opinion nor should I be able to rate the cache. I guess the thinking is that since I haven’t found and logged the final container, my experience up to this point is worthless.
I do not agree.
