NJ Supreme Court Slows Education Drain
May 9th, 2006 | Posted in » Education, New Jersey
Today, the New Jersey Supreme Court ruled that the state could flat fund the 31 Abbott districts. That means that Abbott districts will need to scale back their expenses for next year.
I suspect this is merely a one-time slowdown, but something is better nothing at this point.
The court mandated an appeal process. Those Abbott districts that plan on opening new schools next year are certainly going to appeal. I suspect most of the others will too.
