Strange things in the backyard playground

When I saw this scavenger hunt listed, I pored over what I had seen in the area. I did not immediately think of anything. Then it dawned on me. For many years I lived next door to this house. Their huge backyard was often festive with parties, volleyball games, and their oldest boy. He was a baseball player and he had this pitching mound. I loved hearing the snap of the mitt when he was out practicing.
I imagine he is grown and out of the house now. I hadn’t been by in a while. Granted it is wintertime, but the mound is overgrown and it is uncovered. It was usually covered when it was no longer in use. All those years living there and I never learned their names. I wonder if he is pitching anywhere these days. He was quite good. I alsways wanted to go over and use it myself, but never had the gumption to do so.
