St. Mary’s Parish is the oldest Episcopal Church in New Jersey. Elias Boudinot was a statesman who served as president of the Continental Congress in 1782. During his tenure, the Treaty of Paris, which ended the Revolutionary War, was signed. He represented New Jersey under the new Constitution. Later he replaced the deceased Mr. Rittenhouse as Director of the US Mint.
