Reason #4832 Why McGreevey Was a Bad Governor
May 7th, 2005 | Posted in » New Jersey
Yes, it has been six months since James McGreevey left office. But his legacy lives on. Back in January 2005, we found out this week, New Jersey paid $1.25 million to settle a lawsuit of six state workers who claim they were fired when McGreevey came onboard. Those firings made way for McGreevey’s cronies.
We also learned this week that the Department of Corrections was forced to keep 14 employees who the Commissioner thought were unqualified.
Of course, we didn’t need any further proof that McGreevey’s administration was corrupt. And merely reporting the issues without correcting them will not help the Garden State escape from corruption.
