National Holiday
In a more perfect world, today would be a national holiday. Recognizing we no longer live in an agrarian time, public education should not break for the summer as was once needed. Year-round education should be the norm (there are many other reasons for this that I am certain I will address eventually).
And with that, today would be a national holiday to celebrate our national pastime. It is Openinig Day and the nation’s eyes should be firmly affixed to the diamond.
