It’s About Quality

Today was an interesting day. Gert dropped off Beetle right before I left. Instead of rushing home, we took a drive down bayshore and looked up something I had found a couple years ago.

I had always thought this “cabin” would make for a good virtual, but I didn’t ever list it. It was incorporated into the Cumberland County Tour, which never was finished. My idea was to resurrect this and post it on TC.com. As Beetle and I trucked down the road on this most beautiful day, I found two water towers that would have been suitable for that scavenger hunt, rather than the one two hours away. The one in my town is but a block out of the way. Trying to avoid a light, I doubled back and spotted. Oh my, the things one sees. The other, at Bridgeton High School, I had forgotten about.

Anyhow, we tore down Roadstown and it occurred to me, this wasn’t going to end up being a great cache. Yes, I think it is interesting. It is out of the way and the scenic drive to get here is beautiful. Then again, I seeded a few other caches in the area and a few others were dropped, so although no one has quite gone here, they are out this way. The cabin is interesting, but is it worthy of being a terracache? I debated that all the way down. When I got there, I decided it just wasn’t worthy enough to be a terracache. Perhaps it will maifest itself as a stage of a multi someday, but then again, that is what I said a few years ago. Nevertheless, I was on the water and it was clear and my daughter was with me. What a spectacular afternoon.

On the way back, I spotted one of the signs of the Coastal Heritage Trail when I stopped to re-visit the Greenwich Tea Party memorial. I snapped some photographs and then headed back. Along the way I spotted a few other interesting things that I will add to the burgeoning weird file.

The photograph pictured here is a painted stump on the porch of the floating cabin. But where is that? :)
