Skunk Crossing

Well, some scavenger hunts require research. Some require long journeys. And others require luck. This one was pure luck.
After dropping off my daughter at my in-laws this morning, I continued on my mindless trek to the office. I saw two dead squirrels along the way. Then, as I entered the bend, I saw a larger piece of roadkill. Surely it was going to be a opossum. But as I passed it, I saw the coloring and realized luck had fallen upon me. I pulled over, grabbed the camera (I learned after missing the survey crew last week to always have the camera), and timed my jaunt to the middle of the road so I wouldn’t join this critter at the Roadkill Café.
