On my way home tonight, I decided to swing by Parvin. The gates to the parking area at Thundergust were closed. I suppose that at this time of the year, particularly during the week, that is likely not to change. I was going to park in front of the gate, but decided to park along the road. It was about .3 to the cache.

I cut across to the trail around the lake. There were several swans about and the very top of the lake was beginning to freeze. Yes, it has become cold. The trail was muddy in one spot, but easily traversed. I am very familiar with this area.

I picked my way through some stickers. Nothing too bad, but I see one must have ripped my pants. Believe it or not, it took me a couple minutes to spot this. I went a little too far in. Sigh . . .
