This cache is a good example of several things related to caching.
It was placed on vacation by someone who lives five to six hours away. Furthermore, he does not cache this area. I suspect he has a relative who lives in the complex next door. And while that may satisfy the big site’s test, it does little for me. If the person watching the cache is not a cacher, then it may not be maintained properly.
The stated coords were at least 75′ off originally. Living so far away, the owner could do nothing. His person watching the cache was unable to do anything either, apparently. It goes to show how well having someone look after a cache works. It wasn’t until a local, someone familiar with caching around here, posted correct coords that the cache page was updated.
Thirdly, this is now the third cache to be placed along this tiny trail behind all the houses. The other two did not last. And while this one may, the experience of walking this again was nothing great.
It was an ammo box. It was further along the trail. Whatever.
I signed in and actually left some stuff this time.
