BIG OLD DEAD CACHE

This is the log I submitted for the BIG OLD DEAD CACHE cache, which I DNFd 30 August 2003.
I guess I need help on this one.
I drove two hours north to hunt this one cache. Upon not finding it, I checked the cache description. To my surprise I read that the coordinates were not dependable. For the life of me, I cannot understand why this cache was placed if you are not confident of the coordinates.

This cache is endemic of what happened with caching in the summer of 2003. themagician led the charge. He kept dropping caches that just made folks wonder why they had been placed. His coordinates were notoriously poor and on this cache he even stated as much. While there had always been poor caches in the area, the plethora of them launched this summer changed the landscape for the worse and affected the way the game played for the next several years.
