This was my birthday present to myself. Fifth row. Ah, what a show. With the Dead done, I never got into some of the other offshoots. Phish was a younger man’s band. I was searching and the Allmans were just the thing for me. I enjoyed the scene and began contemplating recording equipment. The CD collection had swelled and it would be nice to add to the collection with my own recordings.
This, believe it or not, was the first show I saw in Camden. ABB was being sponsored by Nascar and that helped me rekindle my interest in auto racing. But what I recall is the $6 I paid for a Miller Lite. Oh my!
Today taught me the appreciation of a good slide guitarist. Derek was amazing.
