I believe I went with Marianne to this show. Hmmm . . . as I go back through all this, it seems like Marianne was around a lot that summer. I don’t quite recall it like that, but what do I know.
It was the 20th Anniversary of the Summer of Love and the T-Shirt I bought proclaimed it. I think it was soon after this that I began trying to distance myself some from this scene. We were not part of the Summer of Love, but were trying to present otherwise, it seems. Just a bunch of kids trying to be something they weren’t.
I recall Crosby used the same set-up to Almost Cut My Hair as he had during the acoustic shows. It came off as hollow.
