Crosby had just been released from jail. He hit the road with Stills and Nash for a set of acoustic shows.

I did something I had never done before nor since; I paid a ticket broker top dollar for three tickets. So, Dana and I drove down to Philly to stay at Craig’s place. The three of us sat in the first row right next to Pierre Robert.

It was this show which taught me to truly appreciate Nash and Crosby’s work together. Their collaborations were wonderful. Almost Cut My Hair was raucus! I just loved hearing Crosby belt out his freak flag. I shook hands with each member and Stills gave me his guitar pick he finished Find the Cost of Freedom with. Pretty cool.

This night foreshadowed a lot of what was to come. You would think that treating someone to a show like this would return at least a Thank You. Well, I guess my expectation was too great for that. ;)
