Festival seating, before it was outlawed, had me within feet of Jerry as the band took the stage. Phil thundered the bass and ripped into Gimme Some Lovin’. I do not believe I will ever forget the start of this show.

A whole bunch of us had tickets for Tuesday night, but I suggested that we head down for Sunday’s show. Craig said he would go if someone else drove. After finding Fox, we were all set. We scalped a few tickets and I bought the best looking tie-dye that I ever saw which I wore for a long time before it finally crumbled. Other friends of ours apparently purchased counterfiet tickets for a hefty price and were denied entry. :(

I have always been a fan of Might As Well and was delighted that the first set ended with this. We walked around during intermission and were in the aisle for the start of the second set. Shakedown was rollicking. I recall looking to the couple beside me. They had to be in their fifties (if not sixties). The guy handed his lady a cigarette case with a few lines on it. I was just amazed at how bold this was.

I remember dancing and enjoying Keep Your Day Job, but it was pulled becasue so many didn’t like it. :)

Also blogged on this date . . .
